Audition Policy:

Auditions for Iola Community Theatre productions are “open casting calls”.  Casting is open to anyone in Allen County and the surrounding area - no experience is required.  Typically the actual auditions are closed to the public, and only the production staff may observe.  The director may decide to relax this policy for small shows to provide better interaction between the auditionees.

Auditions can seem intimidating, but each one that you survive makes the next one easier.  If you are not cast, please try-out again.  Many considerations other than how the actor reads may come into play when the director casts a show.  Often, how aspects such as size or age relate to the roles and the other actors being cast, will change a director's vision of the staging.
